ABe Announces Newest Project - "Desperant"

At this year's Sakura Con 2009 in Washington, Yoshitoshi ABe, manga creator and character designer of the gems "Serial Experiments Lain, Haibane Renmei, and Tehxonolyze, revealed the new project his is currently developing. The anime, "Desperant," is set in Japan's Taishō era about a century ago. Since Since the project has not been officially unveiled in Japan, ABe did not go into much further detail of the story, but he did present an imageboard drawing and sample work from the project.
