L'arc-en-Ciel x Pinky:st Collaboration

What to do about my love affair of Pinky:st figures? Sure they are adorable, and possibilities are endless with their ability to swap accessories, hair, and clothing. Then you have the special collaborations every now and then. My favorite ones from my collection include: the crew from Sky Crawlers, Tokikake, Henrietta's Gunslinger Girl, and of course the Range Murata series. Now, it looks like it's time to add L'arc-en-Ciel into the mix.

BabySue does it again with an adorable collaboration set. The set includes figures of all the band members in one package, each coming with their own base containing the names on it. From the looks of it, several accessories are included with the pack, including 4 different wristbands, a bass for Tetsuya, a guitar for Ken, drumsticks for Yukihiro, and a mic for Hyde (along with an additional arm to hold said mic).

Retailed at 6,500 yen, no street date has been set for its release yet. A special guitar pic featuring Ken in pinky:st form is also available in Japanese music stores (for 105 yen).

Haruhi Pinky:st Figure

It had to happen sooner or later...and I'm just glad it's sooner rather than later.

Haruhi Suzumiya was just screaming for a pinky street transformation and here it comes. As usual, the anime to pinky:st figure conversion is done exceptionally well and accurate.

Look for it this March, retailed at a little over 1,500 yen.

Makoto Konno Pinky:st Figure

Makoto Konno, Pinky Street style, from The Girl Who Leapt through Time," is finally released and arrived at my doorstep this afternoon. As described in my earlier posts, 2 version of the Tokikake figure have been release, one donning Makoto with her red bicycle and the second showcasing Makoto brandishing a baseball bat. A Chara-Ani exclusive, each figure is retailed at about 1,500 yen.

Though if you do not live in Japan and/or did not preorder your figure ahead of time, be prepared to pay about 5 times more than that, if you're lucky to find one.

Just staring at this figure make me want to watch it again (...won't you join me Gendo? :P and maybe we can add a little "Kikujiro" in the mix?) It's time for some karaoke!

Pinky:st "Un-SD-fied"

Pictured in the official Pinky:st website, "Babysue," 2 projects seem to be in the works. These "un-SD-fied" pinky street figures aren't your ordinary pinkys. Features reminiscent of the original figures are prominent and the twist of increased likeness is sure to get fans going.

No word yet on actual release information, but I'm liking the direction that this line of figures is heading. More information will be posted as they come in.

5 New Pinky:st Figures

I have been itching to watch the anime movie "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" for the longest time now, and have been waiting patiently for any word on its release. It seems the hype on the movie has resurfaced, this time, in Pinky:st style. Due out this October, the figure will come in 2 versions.

Equally exciting is the future releases of PK 16, 17, and 18. Moving away from the standard school uniform format, these new pinky:st figures are proof that the craze still has a good heap of steam behind it.

Pinky:st x Choro-Q = ?

Pinky Street teams up with Choro-Q once again. This red car is tentatively set to be released at the end of July this year. I imagine a re-paint will be released subsequently. Pla-Japan (http://www.plajapan.com) is now taking preorders.

New EVA Pinky:st Figures

WonderFest 2007 is just around the corner, and with it comes figurines that take your breath away. The Pinky:st has had a strong reputation at revealing the most beautiful figures and this year is no exception. Pinky:st has a new version of the Asuka and Rei (from "Evangelion") p:cos series. The chances of landing these school uniformed-Asuka/Rei duo this February are pretty slim. But my hopes aren't completely shattered, as there is word for a regular release of the new Eva figures, sometime this June or July. If anyone has any concrete information, please let me know.

Pinky:st Preview

New Pinky:cos figures have been slated to arrive January 31, 2007. This duo is a must-have for all collectors -- it is based on the Playstation 2 game, Wild ARMS: The Vth Vanguard.

Pinky:st Release Delayed

We've seen it happen many times...Pinky:st delays come to no surprise to avid collectors. Luckily, we don't need to wait that much longer for their actual release. While the delay of the new Pinky:st yukata style was not unexpected, I was disappointed to here about yet another delay on the RM series. That's right...the 3 Range Murata pinky:st have been delayed yet again, this time it carries at November 30, 2006 release date. I can't remember how long it has been since I pre-ordered these beauties. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the first release date for these figures must be close to one year ago. One wonders if these figures will ever be released.

Pinky:st...Yukata-style

The newest pinky:st line-up feature two festival-yukata-themed figures. These will be available in a standing and sitting pose, and is set to be released October 30, 2006. You may remember that there was a garage kit of a yukata pinky:st, but it is extremely rare to find.

Pinky:st Kira Kira

The Pinky:st phenomenon continues to stretch to other realms showing that this craze is still burning. Pinky:st has hit the shelves with over 40 figures including limited edition and special edition figures and has recently taken over the small screen. Pinky:st is now hitting the Nintendo DS with "Pinky:st Kira Kira Music Hour" (or "Pinky:st Sparkling Music Hour"). It is a music-themed game with your favorite pinky models and is set to be released October 26, 2006. For those who grab the limited edition, a special pinky:st figure will be included. This is a definite plus for all pinky:st collectors.

おかえりなさい, Welcome Home!

Welcome home, pinky:st! My three latest pinky street figures finally made it home to my door step. Aren't they cute!?! The figures on the far ends are the new Pinky 013 and 014 (I think 015 will be an accessories package, but no word on the release date yet) and the middle one is the long awaited Rabbit Scooter figure. I finally have a sitting pose which I would have had if I could just find my Yukata pinky...oh well.

On another note, it's Friday. But I have no doubt that the weekend will just pass me by in the blink of an eye...

Oh, and one more thing, if you can't read the subject of this entry (i.e. it's in weird symbols), then you suck...go get Japanese language capability.

Pinky:st hits the small screen

Baby Sue's Pinky:st phenomenon is stretching its success with their 5-inch tall figures and is hitting the small screen. My japanese isn't that great, but from what I could gather, the Pinky:st OVA will be released on July 26, 2006. There seems to be two different stories, and figures will be released for each of the two main characters, Mei and Kei. Fans of Pinky:st can appreciate the retained style of the figures. From what I've seen, even the scooter, soon to be released, made it on the show. If you're interested, check out their official site (in Japanese) at: http://www.pinkyst.jp. I wonder if it'll make it to the U.S.
